SCANDAL Pomade

I know that when reviewing a hair product, one should focus mainly on utility, i.e., what it does for your hair. I have longish, middle-aged, very fine but very thick (there's a lot of it), very straight hair and this pomade seems to work quite well in place of your basic mousse (how retro!) or styling gel, However, I can not get past the amazing scent. I feel like I don't need to use perfume or body spray while I have this stuff on my head. To me, the main note is almond, but in a delightfully sensual, not too sweet way. Immediately after I put this stuff on and dried my hair, I marched over to my husband and demanded he smell my head, and I kept sniffing at random strands all day. The fragrance lasts; it is now the day after, and I still smell great. I gave it four stars rather than five mainly because it's a bit hard to use -- I got quite a lot of product under my fingernails trying to gouge it out of the container -- and it doesn't seem to work quite as well on static. My hair smells great and looks nice and shiny, but it still takes off at the merest touch of a brush. Still, an overall great product.
