Want to give your oily, blemished skin an "About Face"?

Let me start off by saying acne is a complex condition. Everybody is different, every case of acne is different, for those of us that struggle with keeping our skin blemish free, we have come up with a product that WE believe is the answer to blemished skin. Pulled directly from nature, this scrub contains some of the greatest ingredients to balance oily and blemished skin; mustard, turmeric, sea salt, neem, grapefruit essential oil and jojoba oil. Not too oily, not completely dry, this scrub is "just right".

Both Chinese medicine and alternative skin care has long used Turmeric, for it's naturally occurring anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and antibacterial properties. In certain parts of the world it is used on cuts, and burns, and is native to tropical South Asia.

The efficacy of the mustard plant began to make its mark in 800AD. The word Mustard is derived from the Latin word `mustum`which means must. Mustard has been used for many years by cultures around the world because of its reputation to increase circulation and open pores. It is thought to stimulate sweating which in turn helps the body rid itself of toxins.

Neem is widely used in India as an antibacterial, antiviral, anti-fungal, antiseptic and anti-parasitic agent in skin care for centuries.

Jojoba oil is actually not an oil, but more of a non-comedogenic wax ester, which is similar to skin sebum.  One of the most common problems with oily skin is that the tendency is to try to dry out the skin to compensate for the oiliness.  However, instead the skin produces extra oil trying to protect itself.  The wonderful thing about using jojoba oil is that it can mimic the skin’s sebum allowing oily skin to balance out and stop over producing oil.  Jojoba oil has excellent moisturizing and protective effects.

Grapefruit essential oil (Citrus paradisi) belongs to the Rutaceae plant family, and has a long list of properties that are good for overall health. It is known to be an antiseptic, disinfectant, anti-depressant, immune boosting, skin-toning essential oil. Grapefruit essential oil eases congestion in oily skins, which makes it helpful in treating acne.
